Abandoned and nearly destroyed by arson on several occasions this former mortuary emerged as a successful rehabilitation project and became the catalyst for a transitional area in Midtown. It received a CAMMY Award for Excellence in Design from Sacramento On The Go and and Architectural Achievement Recognition from the Sacramento Old City Association in 1991.
